Delayed Return Post
Had a wonderful time at the Reunion and catching up with my relatives. The Tartan idea went over well, and now I just need to find a weaver and get the petition process set up. The trip in a nutshell involved: riding in my Uncle's new Tesla, going to a strawberry farm, spending time with my Uncle and Cousin at the firing range, hanging out at my Counsin's pool, playing with my Cousin's kids, watching Brave with my Mom on Mother's Day, and eating so much good food that I literally felt sick. It was fun, but I am glad to be home.
After my odd book dearth I have finally found some interesting things to read! I stumbled across The Golemn and the Jinni right before I left, and then have recently picked up A Free Man of Color and Imperium . Apparently I just needed some quality historical fiction. -- I will say more about these books later, but for the moment just know that they are fantastic.
Going to see Star Trek: ID with Yarbz this afternoon. I've heard mixed reviews, even from friends I trust, so we'll see what happens. I've never seen the TOS movies except "The Undiscovered Country" and TNG ones involving Picard, so I have no idea what to expect.
