Sorry about that.
I called the TV producer back on 18th. She said she'd hoped to have some work for me but the funding fell through at the last minute. She said that she'd keep my details in case anything turned up. I was really beginning to wonder what the hell I'm going to do next, with the Kingston University work coming to an end. I went in for the last time yesterday. However, today I saw an academic job advertised which I can actually apply for (the first one in months!) It's not too far from here, either. I'm almost worried about saying any more in case I jinx it! I shall fill in the application form tomorrow. Here's hoping!
John had his hernia op on 21st June. Although the NHS paid for it, it was done in our local private hospital. Believe me when I say that I've stayed in less posh hotels!:) He's still very sore now, but otherwise ok.
