"Does everyone agree to pose for you?"

The soft innocence in the girl's voice is enough to distract the artist from the sketchbook. He looks up, over the dips and swells of her body.

"No," he admits, "Most aren't so trusting."

calliope nods. "I wouldn't think I should be your first choice; I'm not very pretty." she states it matter-of-factly: neither self-depreciating, nor wanting compliments. "Should I not have trusted you either?"

He's distracted, reducing her form to the relevant components, getting them onto the paper before he forgets everything, loses the beauty in her. "You should be careful of strangers."
