He doesn’t say anything, just stands there in the doorway waiting and listening to the fast rhythms of her fingers on the keyboard. If he squinted, he could watch the words appear on the screen, but he’s not looking at the words - he’s looking at her.

She doesn’t turn around. She doesn’t need to; she’s memorized the way he sounds and smells and even breathes. (He’s been her brother for decades, after all.) While Dio ignores him, he just watches her and finally he says -

“Dio. You know I didn’t want it to turn out like this.”

She nods.

(He leaves.)
