In Barcelona, Honoria meets a photographer - a beautiful Grecian-American with blue eyes and crazy curls and asymmetrical dimples when smiling. This is the most interesting person she’s ever met on her travels. The photographer’s pidgin Spanish is awful, but Honoria finds it strangely-adorable and for some reason she’s compelled to keep communicating this way. So she keeps her knowledge of English a secret.

Penny runs out of words in her kitchen in the middle of making a pitcher of Sangria. She shrugs helplessly, gazes blue eyed and imploringly at Honoria, willing her to understand.

[And, much to Honoria’s surprise, she does.]
