The Election

So the Democratic National Convention has started and the election will definitely be picking up from here on out. So that means we'll be having to watch the numerous attack ads on things that don't really make much of a different. We'll be subjected to having to hear the media talk about things about the candidates that will not matter when that person become president. And we'll have to hear about...well...when's the last time they really talked about what either candidate will do for this country before they talked about what they wore or whatever.

One thing I've noticed about America is that we complain about the big stuff, but we don't spend much time on the big stuff. I mean who's really going to spend time listening to a candidate talk about their energy policy or how they're going to make America schools better? Not many.

This election, hopefully, will not turn into the election last time. John Kerry wasn't a good citizen in the 70's and he's not now. I mean really? Even if he was anti-America in the 70's that doesn't have much bearing on today. I mean people do change.

For me voting for McCain will be like voting for Bush all over again. In fact the last election was over what...gay marriage. And what's happened in between then and now. Two States making it ok despite what the Feds say. Was that issue seriously that important compared to health care, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, education? No. No it wasn't.

So what will it be this year? What big non issue(comparatively) will it be this year?
