OMG!
I might just get to be a mom.
No, I'm not pregnant. But I do have other wonderful news that might just confuse you guys. I talked to Zane today and found out that he wants to adopt a little Iraqi girl named Maria. He says she's a wonderful little girl and has really taken a shine to him. He says she's bright, fun and a real cutie and sweetheart.
What does this have to do with me? Well, we're still really good friends. And since he's still military and I'm about the only woman he trusts who's not family, I might get to keep her for a little while until he's settled all back here.
The thing is I don't know how my mom, Steven or her parents are going to take it. My mom would be like there's no room, I have no parenting experience(but ummm you know...that's something everyone has to work on) and what about food and my job? Well Zane would send money and I could teach her English and she could teach Arabic a little(and I want to learn that language anyway.)
Steven would just overall be pissed probably, but I'm just doing a good turn I think. He'd just have to live with it for a while. And he likes children too.
And her parents...well...we have no idea about them. He's never really talked to them, because they don't speak English, but they know that she really likes him. So maybe they will let him adopt her and she'd be safer here than there. They also have a 15 year old girl. So I don't know how that's going to play because it would be weird for one and not the other. Though I'm not adversed to being "mom" to both and helping out other people. People do it all the time.
So that's my good news.
