I need your help.

If you're a heartless or careless person, stop reading this.
It has nothing to benefit you.

If you do have a heart, and actually give a fuck about things other than yourself, read on.

HERE'S THE SKINNY:
Every year around mid-october, WORSA (Women's Ocean Racing Sailing Association) donates sail boats for an awesome event.
The event is a sailing trip for the blind and visually impaired.
Visually impaired people deserve to have as much fun as those with sight, if not more.

Anywho, every year, I volunteer to babysit the guide dogs of those who bring them with.
Their users (Not owners, because most guide dogs are not owned by the users. They're owned by the school they came from. Mercedes is though for legal reasons.), love for their dogs to have as good of a day as they are.
So they hand em over to us.

I get anywhere from 15-22 dogs a year in one giant pen.
This pen has kiddie pools and toys and all kinds of fun stuff for the dogs to enjoy.
Plus, we take them for nice walks on the beach. (Guide dogs can be on the beach, whereas most other dogs cannot)

Next year, I get to be in charge. (It'll be my 6th year volunteering with the dogs)
This year, the people in charge couldn't tell their heads from their asses.
I managed to fix the issues most had thankfully.
Next year, I don't want to deal with turmoil again.

WANT TO HELP OUT?
I need to get a team of people to help out with the pups.
These are $75,000 dogs. Purebred. Trained. And priceless to their users.
Take care of them as you would your own. I do not need mishaps.
-You MUST be able to be around them a lot.
-You will get dirty. You will get muddy and slobbered on.
-You MUST know how to follow directions.
I will need this team to tag all of the dogs' harnesses, leashes, and collars.
I will need this team to collect and return all the dogs to their proper users.

If responsibility and handling dogs isn't your forte, there's another chance to help out.

These dogs need stuff for their giant pen:
-Kiddie pools
-Big tubs for drinking water
-Poop bags
-Toys for playing with
(I need to approve of the types of toys, because these are big labradors/golden retrievers/german shepherds and they might destroy stuff)
-Brushes to help their users out if they haven't groomed them in a bit.
-Towels to dry them off after they gallivant in mud/sand/water.

They also need stuff to take home. (A goodie bag for each dog)
Their users get to have a huge raffle indoors after they return from their boats, so why not the dogs?
I think it'd be best to raffle off anywhere from 2-4 baskets of stuff for the dogs.

If you want to donate for the goodie bags these things are best:
-Greenies (large)
-Poop bags
-Rings or kongs
-Some squeaky toys (I highly reccomend large Cuz balls because they're so tough. google em)
-Milkbone cookies
-Charms for their collars?
-Dog grip mats (so they don't slide in cars)

That's not too much to ask, right?

For the gift baskets to raffle off I'm thinking of upping the anti:
-Vouchers for free grooming?
-Foofy smelling sprays/ear cleaning kits
-Bones (The white kind that's hollowed out and has filling inside)
-More toys!!
-Collars (Rogz Utility Choker, Fan Belt, Large)
-Toothbrushes and toothpaste (doggie kind)
-Portable doggie dish
-Dog snuggie in large
-Large dog bed?

So surely you can help us out to some extent, right?
It'd be greatly appreciated by not only me, but the dogs and their users.

=)
