This is beautiful. Mothers are amazing lovers, or at least ours mothers are. My mother has countless times lifted me up when I felt at my lowest, and has reminded me of who I am time and time again when I seem to have forgotten. She has been there for me when I felt most lonely in the world. When life amazes me we share it conversation. My mother centers me. When they say "I love you" we know/feel its truth, but sometimes it dosnt charge our hearts until they tell us in words like these. When I was 13 my mother wrote me a beautiful love letter in spanish. At the time I didnt know much in spanish I could hardly make out a word of it, but I knew it came from the heart and I held onto it to reread it again in the future when I could understand what it meant. Recently I discovered while going through a box of old memorabilia in my new apartment the folded and slightly torn spanish love letter. Sitting on the carpet of my empty bedroom I unfolded the letter and as I read I finally understood her words. She wrote that some things in life are not easy and there will be a lot of things that I wont understand until life reveals them, but no matter what life is like she said to remember that everything is always ok because there is love. I cried my ass off...it was exactly what I needed to hear. Ama la vida.
