Nineteeth Hex-[Written]

[Several ink splotches appear on the page at first, almost like Draco's just hovering over it trying to think of what to write. When he does write though, the writing's messier than his usual, scrunched up and sort of hurried.]Tell me about death on your worlds. Homes. Whatever. Is it the end? Do you get a second chance? Or are you sent to ( Read more... )

[So a fierce alien bitch is standing in your doorway, Draco. What do you do? Oh right, she's your big sister.]

That's a pretty gloomy question, you know.

[He's just going to turn his head to look away from the ceiling, but he's still stretched on his bed.]

I've been told I can be outright depressing sometimes. I think I know your answer though anyway. He does lazily grab his wand though and point it to his desk chair, pulling it out as a gesture for her to sit if she'd like. Or she can sit on his bed, whatever. Myuria is big sister and therefore rules life.]

[Silly dragon boy, sprawled out in your nest.]

Oh, please. You're not that depressing. [She's sitting on the bed, thanks. It's cushier. Besides, he's made himself plenty comfortable in hers before. Have some hairpetting. She's not quite sure how to go about being supportive about this.] Death is... well, it's not the easiest thing to deal with.

[Hey. Hey it's totally his nest and he will sprawl if he wants. But he doesn't mind when she joins him, and doesn't mind that hairpetting either.] Maybe not. I never said death was easy...but I also never said I was trying to deal with anything. I was just curious.

[She finds it amusing and even typical of him. But she knows he appreciates the hairpetting and thus will continue.] It's not like what just happened is going to go away. You're dealing with it because you saw it.

[No that's not a pleased hum, shut up.] I'm not dealing with anything. It's just how things are, all right?

[It so is! Muwhahaha!] Plants die. Animals die. Ecosystems die. Maybe that's just how things are, but it's a lot different when it's a sentient being who you knew and... [Wait, they're not supposed to like Arumat.] lived with.

But none of those actually re--...all right, maybe I'd be upset if my owl from home died but still. It's...[Sulking just a tiny bit.] When do you think he's coming back anyway?

Actually what? [Looking at him oddly.] ... I'd have thought he would be back by now.

...none of those actually really feel death, and therefore that can't be transferred to us when we watch. Maybe the animals do. [You know, like birds.] I'd have thought so as well but...it's been nearly three weeks almost, hasn't it?

We don't know what they feel. Some planets have sentient plants - so there's no telling if all plants feel nothing. Maybe planets feel death too, but that's a whole different discussion. [More hairpettings.] Maybe the bastard enjoyed it a little too much. He was always going on about death.

But wouldn't the plants and planets have to have minds and souls and all that? I don't know. [Sulk.] And now that he has it, maybe he'll realize his words have no meaning.

The Morphus have a sentient guide - maybe other races do. [She is trying to combat the sulk here! But groaning a little.] He's such an idiot. He wasted the efforts of all those men who died fighting alongside him.

As far as I know, the human race doesn't. [She's doing a decent job at least?] I hate saying this, but maybe death will teach him a lesson?

I don't think the Earthlings do. [She hopes so. He's too young to be grieving anything. But her response is sharp.] It better.

...[He just blinks at her a bit, first thinking of one point but it will come back up in a moment.] I keep forgetting that technically you're an alien.
