[That little ethereal puppy is making some really alarming noises. It's scaring the shit out of a little browny-orange kitten on the opposite shorebank that's gone all rigid and puffed-up. THIS WALK WITH THE HOUSEPERSON WAS OBVIOUSLY A MISTAKE. SHOULD HAVE STAYED HOME.
[GAH RUNNING. Kitty is going to run as fast as his tiny little legs can carry him. WHY WAS HE NOT BORN A CHEETAH? D:
YOU THERE. PERSON SITTING NEAR WATER. You will soon have a kitten darting behind you. If you see a giant snarling dog hunting for blood, please do the right thing and tell it you don't know what kitten it's looking for?]
[Draco was zoning out up until there's a surprise!kitten racing at him followed by Padfoot bounding after it. He's surprised and he holds up a hand.]
Padfoot! [As soon as his master yells, the coyote screeches to a halt, panting and staring behind him pointedly for the kitten. Draco himself is going to turn in his spot to look over his shoulder, glancing down at the kitten and raising an eyebrow.]
/needs a cat icon, will probably never make oneaphephobicJuly 16 2011, 03:59:18 UTC
[OHGOD NOW THE PERSON IS MOVING THAT'S KIND OF SCARY TOO. Have some hesitant sniffing. Oh hey he knows this smell on some of Soka-person's stuff. Do you have a hand, person? More sniffing needs to be happening there.]
Because it's too stupid to stop following me around. [Hisoka plops down on Draco's other side, lightly touching Padfoot's head just to avoid any weird jumping antics that would come from ignoring it.]
[The kitten is IGNORING THE BORING NEW PERSON FROM THE HOUSE because this one smells more new and new people are really rare!]
Therefore there should be a kitten ;;hisdarkmarkJuly 16 2011, 05:06:16 UTC
[He barely looks up when Hisoka plops down, still fixated on the kitten. Padfoot, on the other hand, is eager to push his head into Hisoka's hand. PET ME.
Draco's going to keep his hand out for the kitten, but he smirks a bit in Hisoka's direction.]
[Nope. You've gotten your fill already. Deal with it.]
[But things are so interesting by the water! Everything smells like a thousand other things, and the floor is all weird and uneven and Mom's not around to cuff his ear for leaning over and trying to dip his paw in the water, which he will do after some reeeeeeaaaaaachiiing OH GOD COLD WATER COLD WATER THAT IS NOT OKAY and will send him jumping back from the edge of the lake because WHAT IS IN THERE? D: MEW. MEW. WHY IS NOBODY ELSE CONCERNED ABOUT THE COLD WATER ON HIS PAW?]
We've gotten rid of most of them, but Tsuzuki wants to keep this one. He thinks we should name it.
I wouldn't want to encourage it to continue this kind of behavior.
[Since the lake is big and scary still, the kitten returns to the safety of exploring Draco. His shoes, for example, smell like all kinds of outdoors-y things without suddenly making any of his limbs all cold and matted and distressing. The sniffing is frequently interrupted by the kitten frantically shaking his wet paw in an unsuccessful attempt to get the weird feeling off of it. Sorry if any of your clothes get a sprinkle, new-person.]
Absolutely not. If I'm going to be stuck with an animal, it's going to grow up learning poise and grace. [And the cat in question is exhibiting neither of these traits as it digs its claws into Draco's leg and tries to climb into his lap. Tsuzuki never complains so it must be okay!]
[There's a loud hiss; not from the cat, from Draco himself as the kitten attempts to scale his leg.] Watch it! [He grabs the kitten by the scruff of the neck and goes nose-to-nose with it, narrowing his eyes.]
Mew?]

Yours? Or one of your housemates?

[The kitten however, decides the smell is acceptable enough and wanders away, exploring the edge of the lake instead.]
Link's cat had a litter. This one won't leave me alone.

Go on, cat. Draco will just watch it wander away and hope it doesn't get eaten by something in the water.]
Can't you just give them all away or something? Cats aren't that difficult. Something tells me you don't mind as much as you let on.
