Congratulation on your soon to be two-year-anniversary. Maybe you and Hisoka can have a shared party.
Morality is a loaded word. It's often used as an excuse to judge, and to divide the world into Good people and Evil people, and it goes downhill from there.
Though, I think it's important to follow your conscience. Especially here, since it would be so easy to follow Malnosso's example and be mindlessly cruel.
Hisoka never forgets anything. And a Pensieve works in a way that you can draw forth memories from your mind and bottle them. When you wish to view a time, you can pour the memory into the Pensieve and relive the moment. They're not entirely common anyway.
What about for those who aren't entirely human? The sociopathic, the powerhungry. Can you show them mercy?

And what if a person doesn't exactly have a conscience? What does one do then?
Reply
You pity them.
Reply
I don't feel like pitying anyone, nor do I want pity.

[There's a pause before the next reply is written.]
You don't think you have a conscience?
Reply
I never said that. Don't be stupid, stop jumping to conclusions.

Okay. I'm sorry.
I'm curious. If you could choose between mercy and justice, which would you pick?
Reply
What kind of a question is that?
Reply
I've noticed that people prefer one over the other a lot of the time.
Reply
Which do you prefer then?
Reply
Mercy. Hisoka prefers justice, I'm sure.

Considering how he's so...well, you're aware of how Hisoka is, you don't need me to remind you. I wouldn't doubt that.
Why do you choose mercy?
Reply
[He crosses out several answers, before settling on this one.] We're human. We make mistakes. Justice has no value if you can't have mercy.

What do you mean by "those who aren't entirely human"?

It's a long story. You ought to know exactly what I mean. Monsters, demons, people that don't have a moral compass at all. What about them?
