Really now...
Memoirs of a Geisha is made into a movie with a couple Chinese actors placed into main roles. I wonder ... does
Michelle Yeoh and
Zhang Ziyi
know Japanese? Zhang Ziyi is placed into the main lead as Nitta Sayuri,
and Michelle Yeoh is Mameha O.O; Yeoh is... ... o.l.d. -.-; Well, I
guess Mameha is kinda that way too... =.=;
Gong Li
as Hatsumomo??? True, she's a very beautiful and versatile
actress... but... =.=; she's old too. I always imagined Mameha
and Hatsumomo younger... I guess... oh wellz. Anywayz, why are
there are basically top Chinese/HK/Taiwanese actresses in Japanese
roles? Well, as long as they can speak the dialect, I'm fine with
it. Oh wait.. it's an English movie, neber mind then lol
^^; I have no problem with chn actresses/actors playing jpn, or
jpn playing chn, just like I don't care whether the guy who plays an
italian in some movie is actually irish; it's just more like "Are they
going to be able to do it well?" that worries me. Oh wellz, I'll
probably still enjoy the movie regardless when it comes out ^^
I'm a big fan of that book, and I luv Gong Li anyway.. but her as
Hatsumomo... hm... =.=; it's not piecing together for me. Oh, but
Ken Watanabe~ mmm I like him~! ^,^ For some reason, I picture
Koyuki
- Taka from Last Samurai, and that annoying reporter from Antique
Bakery drama - as maybe Sayuri or Mameha. At least, that's how I
see it. Oh wellz, Gong Li's really pretty T,T Wow, she
really doesn't look... old in the movie O.O; the beauty of make-up, I
guess.
Anywayz, I just bought a new movie
2046
with Tony Leung, Maggie Cheung, Zhang Ziyi, Faye Wong, and so many
more~ I'm a sucker for anything Tony Leung ^^; I want it to
send now~ I wanna watch it T,T
