Stupid Malicious Antivirus Live Malware
Yes, my computer was raped by Trojans and the Antivirus Live malware this morning and it sucked. My computer did the blue-screen-of-doom on me as a self-defense mechanism in order to prevent further damage and then I had to let it mend itself before allowing me back on at all. My connection, of course, had to suck so it took the effort of two computers and one sleep-deprived human to get the antispyware software downloaded and transferred via flash drive over to my infected computer and save it.
The software I used -- which is free -- is SUPERAntiSpyware Portable Scanner. I am a fan of AVG, but this thing was pretty awesome with what it did. I ran the scan and then after the quarantine, everything was removed. So yeah, if anyone gets plagued by this stupid bug, this software is very useful.
Anyway, just wanted to let you all know is all.
