The Departed
I love this movie~! I haven't actually watched a movie-movie for the longest time and my brother went and bought The Departed today so we watched it together. It was so different from Scorsese's usual films, I was really impressed and I sat on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was never once bored and everything was good ^.^ The part with the Cantonese gang meeting Costello was kind of iffy 'cause those guys seemed totally ABC or something to me, their Chinese was all accented and rough @_@; Oh well, not like anyone can understand them unless they speak my dialect. During the Oscars, the announcer accidentally called Infernal Affairs, a Japanese movie lol ^^ when it's actually a Hong Kong movie, which Scorsese corrected during his 'thank you' speech for getting best director. I hope no one took too great of offense if they noticed ^^;;;;
Anyways... the movie was really great. I love mob/mafia/yakuza/gang sort of stories ^,^ Maybe it's 'cause it's been a long time since I've really seen a movie-movie that I liked this one so much, but then again... I've always liked violent, partial psycho-related, mob stories ^.^ Ah it was good~ Anywayz... I should stop procrastinating and actually get some work done @_@. I'm going to regret it if I don't get my homework done soon.
