Tsugi is Re-Learning to Budget

Jun 22, 2006 23:27

... Starting today I've officially declared myself imaginatively broke in order to stop myself from spending anymore money (or what's left of my earnings). So here is the deal... There are things I want to buy and they cost a lot of dough so... I shall devote myself into saving at least $1000 by Christmas. Sounds crazy? Not really, I just have ( Read more... )

I bought $100 in clothes at Ann Taylor Loft today -,-;;;; but I needed clothes so I guess that's ok. I put it on the Ann Taylor Loft card so I have another month to scrounge and save money to pay off the expenses =.=;;; I have around $52 pending that needs to be paid off next month for my CC (since I already paid off this month's). So I'm doing under $200 for July... and I need to buy my brother a birthday present! O_O *falls flat on the ground* Now... I just have to decide whether I'm taking 15 or 19 credits to decide if I'm going to be spending another $100 on textbooks =.=; *sighs* I should just take 15 rather than 19, I'm pretty burned out from spring term still so I should probably wait till winter term to take that class =.= What to do... Help me think T____T!! I need advice!

haha... I don't have advice for you. Maybe take the lesser of the credits. ...I almost don't want to take a full sequence of courses this summer just because we have to buy brand new textbooks. One of them costs $145 alone. I figure maybe someone will be cool enough and sell it back and then maybe the prof in the fall and winter will use that one, too so i can buy it used.... but is it stupid to take completely different classes just because u can't afford to buy all brand new textbooks? I really need new clothes cuz I don't have any especially for this 100 degree weather coming and I need stuff for my apartment... It's just... money is evil!!!

I figure that I have some financial aid and the dean scholarship to help out during the school year so maybe I'll just pack on the credits then. For now, it's really a lot more expensive to be taking summer courses 'cause I don't have any of that to help out with... so... I think I'm going to drop my BA class and take it during the year. I was talking to a lot of my customers at the restaurant today (when I had a chance) and a lot of them gave me really meaningful and helpful words (of advice) and so I think I have an idea what I'm going to do.

I So Want To T_______T but I've been wanting to come for 7 years now and each time I plan on coming, something just happens. Like we were planning on coming this September when I was done with summer school and the K-12 grade school kids were back in school, but then my grandfather basically died and came back to life so now he's a bit of a vegetable and has to be monitored and taken cared of in a nursing home. The reason why we're even more busy than usual is because we live in a place where few people speak Cantonese so we're basically our own interpretors and so we can't go anywhere for a while now... again =.= *sighs* I'll never get to go to New York T____T Man, more than Europe or going around the world and stuff, I just want to go to New York.
