ummm has this been asked yet because this is the question I thought of this morning before you had this many comments: Do your characters know each other offscreen? Either way, how would they feel about each other?

NO, NO ONE HAS ASKED THAT.

And no, they don't really! They sort of move around each other without ever quite touching because I fail at playercest. Sera knows of the dragons' existence because she sees them flying sometimes, and she knows Sebastian in passing because he took over a lot of the work in the cat shack, but she doesn't really know them. Toothless knows about Lien but respects her wish for privacy and so doesn't bother her, and doesn't know the demons at all. Lien has maybe seen Toothless once and ignores his existence, and likewise doesn't know the demons! Sebastian keeps tabs on the dragons in case they become dangerous and thinks Sera is sort of funny but not worth poking at right now since she has weird holy stuff going on and isn't directly involved with any of his people. NONE OF THEM ARE SUPER INTERESTING TO THE OTHERS I DON'T THINK even if I didn't play them all.

UMMM I keep playercesting and then failing at it. Shuri, Yuujirou, and Glenda have all met at least, but they all haaate each other, so they will never talk to each other again unless I make them. Fongfong is different; I kind of hesitate to say he's met any of them offscreen because he is actually more friendly (in a way) and would actually like them, and Fongfong is so starved for friends that I would feel bad having him meet people and then making them ignore him. Especially since Shuri is also starved for friends. Shuri and Fongfong have a lot of common, too, so if they met they would totally be friends, so now they can never meet because I cannot do that to them. :(

...if I pmed you to try vainly to get you to app a character from a canon I have not apped yet, even though you might not want to do it, would you at least listen to me so I can say I tried

I don't think it really matters what Blanderson looks like, his whole shtick is that he's bland and nondescript. HE IS WHATEVER HE LOOKS LIKE IN OUR HEADS RIGHT THEN I GUESS so whatever you made up is fine.

I don't currently want to essay about anything because my brain feels like mush on the best of days (as it is now), but if there was anything I felt like I should essay on it would be an updated sexuality essay that takes this year into account, and that's kinda related to David and Shuri so there. They're doing... surprisingly well?! idk I can only speak from Shuri's POV, but his major problem with the whole thing is that there are no major problems, so that probably says something about both Shuri and the relationship. But then he also laughed when he learned David was dumped for the first time by Raphael recently because he thought his suffering was delicious, so that dimension also exists..........

What about you, you got any essays you need to do.

nah now that I have essayed on Sebastian finally I think I am doing okay. I really just need to PLAY LIEN MORE on the RP front, THINGS ARE STRANGELY... FREE OF PROBLEMS...

...so how is Shuri's vacation going to go this year.

HAHA well he would invite David yeah, especially since he mentioned he wasn't going back to his world for vacation. But if he didn't come with he wouldn't be heartbroken about that either because crossing camp and home is something very dangerous, in his opinion, just to maybe get laid. Either way he would devote at least half the day to visiting his father--I'd say that he'd try to work up the courage to mention things that vaguely maybe have a tiny bit to do with camp, or like, anything at all that is different with him now, but 1) lolno he never will, and 2) ...I don't know how Wakaba would even react to that so I don't want to make it up.

...would Lien take a vacation?

What do the series you like generally have in common?

I used to have a strong conviction that the series I like are extremely stupid and yet take themselves seriously. I'm not so sure about that anymore, but it... does apply to all of my canons right now I think, so maybe I'm right after all! I think maybe it's extremely hard for me to enjoy anything that's not like that, but it's a pretty broad category so... basically everything fits it

gosh, I predict you will love Black Butler if you ever get further in it.

The other day Takanari was describing a canon she liked to me and was like, "I WOULD REC THIS TO YOU BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S FUCKED UP AND SURREAL ENOUGH." That does describe my tastes to some extent! FUCKED UP AND SURREAL IS AWESOME. Though I also like things that are not that so idk. I mean, I like... Digital Devil Saga? And... One Piece? And Ouran Host Club? And Claymore? THERE IS SOME VARIETY HERE, and you know that I love the stupid deeply because computer scarves.

I guess what I love most is canons in which people are or can be the main driving force and are SUPER IMPORTANT TO EACH OTHER because of this. I need the peoples' reactions to each other to be a huge part of how things go down. There's that Jung quote that goes "The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed." That is what I like to see.

...I DUNNO ABOUT FEELINGS THOUGH ACTUALLY. I am pretty easily moved so I'm probably not a good standard? But usually things that threaten the happy status quo, or... just when characters are Feeling Things, then I also Feel Things if it's done in a realistic way. I... I honestly have no clue how to answer this. I FEEL FEELINGS WHEN THERE ARE FEELINGS TO BE FELT

I. I SORT OF SUCK AT FANDOMY FEELINGS LIKE THAT ACTUALLY, my reaction is far more often "oh my gosh :')." The thing that's really gotten me to go fff most consistently in the past year is probably... haruzzle's demonverse thing?! And that is because I am participating and WANT TO GET THE GOOD END! You... know exactly how stupidly fandomy I get about that, so I will not elaborate.

Aside from that... hm. I teared up every time I reread the last volume of Akira for years. Does that help. ;;
