The past few months had been far too dull.
She rolled her eyes at herself as she crossed the living room. Here she was, in her fifties and with a son, hoping not just for some ordinary visitor but for someone - or something - exciting. The Doctor, perhaps.
But he'd never knock, would he?
A smile fixed on her face as she opened the door. The look of surprise flashed across her eyes. She had hoped for something unexpected. Sarah hadn't counted on a stranger. "Hullo?"

The footsteps could be heard leading to the door pulling open. In front of him stood the familiar older woman he had seen on the laptop over Rose's shoulder. A kind albeit tired smile formed as he 'tipped' his woolen cap to Sarah Jane.
"Hope I'm not intruding or anything - Miss Smith, right?"

Sarah Jane could not place the face. It bothered her a bit seeing as the man certainly seemed to recognise her. She pulled the door open a tad more and stood in the frame.
"Do I know you?"
