(no subject)
Per usual, it's been ages since I posted... as most of you know, I'm quite bad at computers (or at responding to people/ updating sites), but excuses can only go so far.
My life has been pretty good lately. Not specifically happy, but good: through giving up far too many hours of my life I was able to pay for my school books and car repairs in cash for this semester, and already almost have enough money to pay for next fall semester in cash (should my state and federal grants stick around... *crosses his fingers*). The life I've longed to forge is finally beginning to show signs of a coming Spring. Somehow I've managed to get As and Bs in all my courses (while working two or three jobs) and have stuck my boot and claws into what could potentially be my doorway into my mundane dreams. Nothing beyond Mount Saint Mary's is set in stone -- as of yet --, and possibilities range... but it's a good feeling to know that I just might make it. I don't think too many people end up doing what they really want to with their lives... circumstance and situation -- or even surrender due to tempting oblivion -- can take quite the toll on time. Regardless, I'm working hard to try and avoid falling into said pits.
My strivings aside, life has been pretty interesting. I turned 21 (and had a great time with great company -- I love you guys, and you know who you are) and, as such, can now legally purchase alcohol... heaven help me! As for amorous matters, there's been several unfortunate mishaps and one very real possibility. There's been death and reaquaintances; anguish and laughter. Honestly, the last half year has been pretty wild despite my constant working. There's been drunken late- night expeditions through December forests, crazy -- and extremely luck- filled -- voyages to the city for concerts (Blind Guardian was amazing!), stolen lawn gnomes.... Good times.
At any rate, it's 7am and I only got home from work an hour ago. Mid- terms are tomorrow and I need to sleep sometime soon.
