(no subject)
I haven't updated this in quite some time, so a brief update seems prudent despite life being quite the same.
Christmas at home was fun, quiet, and relaxing. New Years was a blast! I was out till 4:30am at a friend's party complete with poker (I lost terribly), liquor, and a hot tub. Not all at the same time; I'm not that crazy.
Since then it's mostly just been work. Tomorrow I have to sit down and do my application for UMSL's Counseling masters program. I realized today that I'm banking on that rather heavily. I don't really have a back up plan if they deny my application, which is kinda scary. I don't have a degree in Psychology, and while my college GPA and GRE weren't bad, they are far from extraordinary. So perhaps I should research a few more schools as backups just in case.
Today I reached the point where I need to get something else to hold my DVDs. Matthew gave me a Target gift card as part of my christmas gift, so I bought the first three Alien movies for 20$ (good deal, I thought). I also saw "The Devil Wears Prada" a few days ago with some friends, which despite my initial opinions was quite good. I'm also reading Eragon after seeing the movie. It's a nice break from theology books, but after this I intend to find my Psychology book and brush up on some basics. It's amazing how quickly those names and theories escaped my memory. If only I knew 10% of the things I've forgotten I'd be quite a smart man...a concoction of really weird knowledge, but smart :)
