Emile’s latest film, Milk, picked up eight Oscar nominations including Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Sean Penn), Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Josh Brolin), Costume Design, Directing, Film Editing, Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score), and Original Screenplay.
Hirsch just finished filming Taking Woodstock. The Ang Lee-directed comedy is about a man who works in his parents' Catskills motel and inadvertently sets in motion the events that led to the legendary 1969 concert. Shot on location in upstate New York, Taking Woodstock also stars LievSchreiber, PaulDano, EugeneLevy and KelliGarner, and is slated for an August release.
