Hello, world!

A legitimate update? I think I will!

So, life is life, as our stock guy at work likes to say. Money is money, bills are bills, work is work. There is an extent to which going through the motions is a part of life, and the motions are the motions. I work, I come home, I game online or at games and other things, I sleep, I watch television, movies and anime and all is, by and large, well. But some cool stuff is happening, and some less than... so... an update on the life front.

Work
Work is especially work-full. I am considering a second job to make some more money and am, as always, looking for a flat-out better job. On the brighter side of things, however, tomorrow I get to do something really REALLY cool; our store is teaming up with Broyhill Furniture and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help create a dream suite for a recovering cancer patient who just graduated from High School, and I am going to be the primary person at the store helping her out. This makes me... feel really good inside.

As for the TV studio, I'm not sure how much longer that is going to last. What with looking for a better (read similar pay but weekends off or just generally better) job, or adding extra part-time hours, it makes it harder to get in for the voluntary job. Add in that I have accrued enough experience to look good going forward and that what I'll call "The Evangelical Bent" of the station has increased to uncomfortable levels.  So, we'll see what happens from here.

Creativity
Under advisement. I have about four decent ideas floating around in the brain-space. Need to get things together, do some brainstorming, and see if any actually coalesce into something more solid. To be continued.

I've also really fallen behind on my Buffalo B film reviews... not having written any of substance since the first. Have to get on that.

Finally, I have a new computer designed for me that is built around the task of being a high-end video editing/engineering rig. It will be a while before it is paid off and mine, but, at the end of the day, it will be rather full of win.

Entertainment
The cam is the cam. My membership comes up this week and I'm going to renew, but my Apathy is certainly there at this point. I hesitate to call it burnout, because nothing very little has been especially taxing. I just don't know how well I'm answering the tricky 13 questions question about how I'll be like a storyteller in portraying my PC right now. Looking at my PCs, I only have a solid background for one and a half of them, and a timeframe for another. Everything else I play by ear. I'm sure it partially bonds with my creative issues of late... but, hopefully, soon enough, I can get my head wrapped around it.

I'm also considering picking up a non-cam game where I don't have to give over three hours of my weekend driving to get there and can throw together a "Freak Show" type PC that will be tons of fun and not need any depth that I don't dig in myself over the course of playing. But we'll see.

I've been really getting into some media (and media types) I haven't seen in a while. I borrowed Seasons 1 and 2 of "Bleach" from a coworker, am taking recommendations from the resident Otaku and counter person at the Computer Store/Organic Coffee Shop I go to and have re-purchased the two DVDs out of Cowboy Bebop that went missing between my ten-some-odd-moves between home and the dorms and from dorm to dorm. I also put all my stuff together into a pretty little picture of an entertainment wall, pictures included (behind cut).

Diet and Exercise
Going relatively well. Probably going to lock in on an actual target instead of, "Just be healthier." Working towards something is better than not, because it becomes like a game. I'm also considering buying stock in the companies that make DDR pads, because I foresee getting many of them in the coming time if I'm going to use (and abuse) them as my natural exercise.

That's about it for now. It's time for more "Bleach" and a delicious dinner of tilapia with a lobster and wine reduction and tomato salad.

OH, and the Pics of the Entertainment Wall!!!
