So, my Resume immediately became about 900x better in the course of three hours. I now have the first (of what will be many) credits on my resume that will be for (at least) camera work on a television program taped live that is seen in 117 countries across the world.
So the skinny is this; one of the camera volunteers who is a college kid is bouncing at the end of the month. One of the top camera people has left for some time because they're doing professional work for the Buffalo Bisons. In the words of the Production Manager (hitherto known as "Sean" or "Holy Boss" [not to be confused with "Boss" from the current job]) I am "an answer to my prayers. I've been praying a good three weeks on this."
It is so good to feel wanted. To feel wanted while improving my resume exponentially is awfully fine. To do it in such an environment is really brilliant.
Today's show was hosted by Pastor Robert Lowe. He talked first to two folk with a ministry in Ontario who are having an event coming up in the Rogers center towards the latter half of the year. The second interview was three local gentlemen, all scientists/teachers, talking about God's fingerprint in the world. They were very very knowledgeable. And Pastor Lowe is... an unbelievable speaker.
I am all sorts of stoked. I can't wait. Just can't. I have to work one day, and they're dark another, so it's three weeks and I'll be back in studio, but I am bouncing fitfully, so excited am I.
