Attack of the Karaoke

On Saturday we had our first practice after almost two months.  And like most practices, I decided to belt out the choruses at the top of my lungs, despite being banned from singing.  Ever.

So what is the logical thing to follow up trashing one's throat by trying to out-sing a PA system?

So when we get to the bar later that night, I'm the first person in our group to get up and sing... And sing I did.  In order:

Dare to be Stupid - Weird Al Yankovic
I Am the Walrus - The Beatles
Ode to my Car - Adam Sandler
I Want a New Duck - Weird Al Yankovic
You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi

Okay, okay...  So everyone stopped me from trying the last one with the laryngitis that I had by that point, but I was willing to try.

As far as I can tell, my voice is much better today, but I think that Twitch is correct in that I need to start taking vocal lessons to learn control and proper use of the vocal cords...  Maybe after some lessons I'll be able to actually get past the first chorus of YGLaBN without blowing out my voice for the following two weeks.

On a side note, I'm so hoping I hear something more about the movie I was in...  I would really like to, y'know, see it...
