Roommate Bonding
I live with 4 other roommates in a 4 bedroom house. 2 girls in the master bedroom (me included) and the 3 boys have their own room. BUT, we share 1 fridge... one very over-stuffed, demonically rancid fridge... until today.
The boys decided to host a new year's eve party at our place and started cleaning the house to prepare. This eventually lead to the clean-out of that damned refrigerator. This was truly a group effort. I mean, this thing never ever gets cleaned because there's just too much crap in it to deal with. So, we all sat down and faced that dreaded thing... and boy was it scary.
First, there were waaaaaay too many furry, fuzzy, unidentifiable objects in there. They came in bags, tupperwares and even, just by themselves, smooshed in some corners of the drawers... it was absolutely vile (;_;) and the smells... many different smells combined to create the most nauseating concoction... The boys had to pull out the Lysol air spray to combat it. Also, we found 5 bottles of ketchup and 3 bottles of mustard. Oh, and there was that tupperware with the mold covered fried-tofu - the tofu turned to liquid as soon as I opened the container (O_o;)
So, we gave the whole fridge a proper scrub-down, and threw out a shit-ton of crap which required a least 4 or 5 trashbags. While we were at it, we decided to throw out everything unnecessary and unused in the kitchen too. This resulted in our outdoor trashcan overflowing. Good thing tomorrow's trash day in our neighborhood. We have successfully overflowed ALL the trashcans sitting on our neighborhood's curbs. Isn't that amazing??
But now, our fridge is sparkling clean, AND it's actually bright and lit. I never realized that our fridge had a light in it because all the crap was blocking the light...

In other news:
We had a power outage today. It lasted only 30 minutes, but what do u do when u can't use your lights, computer or any other appliance at night? Nintendo DS's FTW!! ya... I love living in a gamer house (^_^)
