Golden Week
G'morning.... *rubs sleepy eyes*
You kno I work at a Japanese company right? And it's Golden Week in Japan right now. So, I have like no work to do. But, Mel is resourceful, so Mel's been studying all day for the GREs at work. It's so awesome because I look totally efficient and busy while I look up vocab words, study practice tests online, and taking lots of notes. I'm so poductive at work. Yay me~ (^_^)v
Since I don't get vision coverage as part of my health insurance *grumble grumble* I had my eyes examined at COSTCO, and I switched over to soft contacts. JEEBUS! Why didn't I just start off with these things?! They're sooooo much more comfertable than my retarded hard lenses!! The sad thing is, I had to get the Ciba Vision Night and Days, not because they're the best lens on the market (and consequently most expensive), but because they've got the smallest diameter! U kno~, cuz my eyes are so small.... The other ones won't quite fit...
My glasses broke last week, so I bought glasses at COSTCO as well. I love COSTCO with their uber-cheapness. I have horrible eyesight, so I had to get special lightweight thin lenses, which costs more money of course (and even that looks all coke-bottle-ish on me), BUT I finally got plastic frames. They're black, and so cute looking! I hope it won't look retarded after my super persription lenses go into it :P
After I managed to spend all that money on necessities I managed to buy 2 pairs of shoes in the same day.... I'm so weak willed. But in my defense, they're totally cute, I look good in 'em, they're perfect for summer AND they're both super comfy... But that's still money spent...
Then yesterday, I actually paid for the 2 JC classes I'll be taking. I can't get financial aide, damn it, because I make just a little over the qualifying yearly income...
Oh ya, I found out my 2nd session summer class starts on July 1st (6-10pm)... For those who are counting on me that day, I'm not gonna flake out. I'm gonna e-mail my professor and ask to be excused from the 1st day of class. OMG what effort I'm going through for an anime convention...
