"Is this a footie match or a big fecking gay show???"
LOL, that's what the guy besides me shouted out during the 75th minutes when looked like almost everyone was eager to show off their thighs. Even the ref.
It started when in the first half Wayne changed his shorts on the touchline. And then when the derby player fell, the camera shot his crotch (and some guys were like WTF?? XD). And then in 70 something minutes, the ref got a cramp on his thigh and the physio had to massage upper thigh (the ref ended up being substituted - this is the first time I saw ref being substituted in a match :p).
Poor physio's work was not done because straight after that, he had to tend Carroll and lifted the shorts so high as he massage Carroll's inner thigh, just near the crotch. lol. and then not wanting to be outdone, when preparing for freekick, Cristiano pulled his shorts up really high. It was hilarious, really, especially with the reactions/shouts/comments that the guys in the pub had XDXD.
OK onto the football.
It was quite dreadful.
No, it's not because I thought Derby should've been a walkover, but the general performance was quite apalling, except for the first 20 minutes or so. Anderson - Scholes pairing just didn't work, and shouldn't be paired together again unless in 3-men midfield. Giggs was lazy. O'shea kept on passing to the wrong person. Wayne and Cristiano lost 'that' feeling until that goal (they kept frustratingly misread each other's intention).
park was good though, in his own hardworking way. Cristiano saved us once again (he had 4-5 great chances that somehow just failed to be goals). And Ben Foster was fecking brilliant. really took his chance and that long goalkicks really remind me of Peter Schmeichel.
a win is a win though. The pub went absolutely mad when Cristiano scored, such a relief. And then everyone started singing the Cristiano song, Top of The League, and We Shall Not Be Moved :p. Credit to Derby, they made it hard on us (besides us making it hard for ourselves), and Carroll, for once, was an absolute beast in goal. Wonder whether he was injected with something before the match... he was never THAT good for United :p
