Because they were having a sale (I no longer buy straight-cut jeans because it all gets a bit Clarkson at my age), and because the concept of 'windproof' jeans seemed an unlikely thing, I bagged a pair from Uniqlo the other day. The last time I saw any jeans that claimed some measure of weatherproofing, they were in the LL Bean catalogue and appeared to be lined with one of those quilted check shirts that builders buy from Millets.
Anyway. They mostly look like someone printed a hologram of a pair of jeans onto the casual strides belonging to an Eagle pilot. The sort of thing one would slide into before going off for a half of lunar mild at Moonbase Alpha Recreational Facility #2.
In short, I have bought space-jeans. They are windproof, though.
