That would be good, except that Ford intended the Capri to remind Europeans of Steve McQueen and the Ford Mustang!
Mind you, the only time they really succeeded in making a Mustang fastback lookalike in Europe was with the Ford Grandad coupe (Hirez dreamcar passim).
This one was MY baby. Gads, I loved that car. So what if you had to turn the heat on in the blazing summer to keep it from overheating, and couldn't drive it in the rain because the spark plugs would get wet and turn off the engine. She was GORGEOUS! Fully restored.

My late husband had this baby: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=ford+mustang+1969&hl=en&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=ZvfhRPvFbOQRkM:&imgrefurl=http://stangplanet.com/forum/boss-545/3414-545-cid-1969-mustang.html&docid=xPmupLC0X7aEXM&w=1366&h=1024&ei=qn9CTsfmKMTL0QH5qbnRCQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=390&vpy=202&dur=7348&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=162&ty=83&page=11&tbnh=161&tbnw=218&start=80&ndsp=8&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:80&biw=1187&bih=512
(Sorry about the long code--don't know how to condense it.) Until he cracked it up. Then we got one of these:http://www.google.com/imgres?q=ford+mustang+1965&hl=en&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=ll2juEAVz6i7WM:&imgrefurl=http://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/2347601/posts%253Fq%253D1%2526%253Bpage%253D151&docid=nFwY-3tYAk_8sM&w=525&h=394&ei=JoFCTu6-OOL50gHJtJ3uCQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=396&vpy=133&dur=31&hovh=194&hovw=259&tx=181&ty=138&page=8&tbnh=158&tbnw=221&start=56&ndsp=8&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:56&biw=1187&bih=512 in that exact color!
When that one died, we got one of these: http://www.google.com/imgres?q=1965+mercury+caliente&hl=en&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=0NIdUWnq0Px1lM:&imgrefurl=http://www.carster.com/car-pictures/1965/mercury/comet/1965-mercury-comet-190463050665/&docid=U3Dxfjk-J8y9_M&w=800&h=600&ei=fIFCTuWYEsHW0QGo57TcDA&zoom=1&biw=1187&bih=512&iact=rc&dur=47&page=22&tbnh=161&tbnw=237&start=184&ndsp=8&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:184&tx=156&ty=83 except ours was maroon with white leather interior.

And then, after he died and I remarried, I ended up with one of these:http://www.google.com/imgres?q=1989+dodge+caravan+minivan&hl=en&biw=1187&bih=512&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=71iyIxZCZfYvzM:&imgrefurl=http://www.productioncars.com/vintage-ads.php/Dodge/Caravan&docid=5qmaeJBk_kMT9M&w=720&h=974&ei=woJCTrSSO6Xi0QH_1JjJCQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=484&page=3&tbnh=166&tbnw=144&start=16&ndsp=8&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:16&tx=93&ty=72
Yeah...at least it was a turbo.
