That sodding Nature Valley advert, right?

i) World's worst alleged Welsh accent.
ii) Tractor used without roll-over bar in clear contravention of relevant legislation[1].
iii) Carrying passengers in that trailer's pretty dodgy, too.[2]

You useless townie shitwits ( Read more... )

I don't know if this is just me, but I see tractors without roll bars quite frequently. That's 'frequently' for the value of someone who lives in London, so not frequently at all, really, but I still see 'em.

I saw two at different locations back in June, when I was collecting my Land Rover from somewhere near Huddersfield. Mags like Classic Tractor are full of ads for them. I suspect that quite a few classic tractors are still discreetly at work out there. If anyone asks, the farmer can say it's just his old Massey Furguson 135 he's bought as a hobby. As soon as official eyes are averted, the bugger's back on the hay rake.

I guess that non-working tractors probably are exempt. Although the one in the picture does appear to have a roll-bar fitted.

What I need to know is why you read Classic Tractor?

Because they don't advertise Series Landie bits in Sonic Seducer. (Useless bastards only take ads for Disco and Freelander parts.)

That one has had a roll bar added, but it's demountable - you can still see the uprights and they b'ain't be thurr on a stock 135.

Mind you, last night's drive back home from Steampunk!!! went past the aftermath of a tractor rally and hardly any of those on trailers had rollbars.
