That was a jolly pleasant couple of days.
Beer drunk, rubbish talked, hostelries explored, stuff learned... and hangovers remarkably absent.
Londoners are a funny bunch, mind. I peered out of the hotel window on day one, and there was everyone wrapped up in scarves and coats. Accordingly I toddled down to the Natwest tower in some handy technical clothing and sweated up a storm. Ugh. Day two found me pottering about in a long sleeved t-shirt, and even that was a bit warm on occasion.
Still, out the doors of Temple Meads and into the teeth of a fine breeze that smelled of seaside. Excellent. I still have that landlocked kid's fascination for beaches.
If there's a next time, I must have a few scoops of the Old Wallop, further explore the Foundry and not annoy tiresome strangers by agreeing with them for spite.
