USB connectors have a rubbish design. Whichever way you try to jab them into the half-hidden socket, they're the wrong way up. You can't tell if you're hitting the socket square-on, but have the connector wrong, or if you've the connector the right way up but are missing the socket slightly. Hopeless.
Anyway. Went out for a run in the direction of Thornbury and back, armed with a pre-motorway OS map of the area and several supplements from the Science in Sport people. I didn't get as far as I wanted, for which I shall blame the life-force sapping precincts of Bradley Stoke.
Anyway. Once you get away from the A38, Almondsbury is quite lovely and has remarkable views of both Severn crossings. Which I did not photograph because I was still gripped with a need to escape the smell of Bradley Stoke, about which I can say nothing nice save that it's not on my OS map.
