The trim I got on Ebay is a LOOOT thinner than I expected. It's also not twill tape, as it says all over the description; it's just tape. No twill involved. It's pretty lightweight, and I don't know if it will hold up to the strain of the steel or not. It might, but if it doesn't I'm screwed! Good news is the lucet cord I started yesterday evening after work... I finished this morning. Um, I guess when I watch tv (and have done two similar cords very, very recently) I go quickly? So that's the shoulder strap ties on my stays taken care of. Now I need to sand down the wood for my busk and play with the tape to see if it feels strong enough. If not I can either return it and buy heavier ACTUALLY TWILL tape - in 5yd pieces, because apparently that's the only way to buy pale yellow twill tape - keep it and buy other tape, or dye some of the white tape I have, which sounds like way too much effort right now. Hmm.
