Trying to be good, but "Compu'er Says No"

Mar 13, 2013 02:50

Well. I (re)decided that my first sewing thing would be to finally properly fix the back of my cotton anglaise, so that I don't have to hide it under a cloak and hope there aren't strong winds. I completely undid the back seam down to about 1.5" above the point where the skirt is attached, basted linings to outsides, popped the thing on my dress form, and pulled the two sides together until they seemed pretty smooth. Had to put on my stays to verify, as my dress form is not *exactly* my size (purty damn close, but those partial inches count, doncha know!), and fiddle with it a bit, but it looks pretty good. Not perfectly smooth, which I was sorta kinda hoping to achieve, but it's a sight better than it was, that's for sure. Tomorrow I have off, and with my computer out of commission I expected to be properly productive. Thing is, I just got my computer back, and there are so many things to catch up on....!
