day off ramblings and a little sewing
So this morning I went in to work at 7- it's my day off, but there was lots of stuff to get done that's best done early! Then went on a quick trip to meet friends at the mega-mall near me for lunch at Hai Street Kitchen (which makes sushi burritos and sushi salad bowls, both of which are amazing). On my way home I popped by the thrift store to see if there were any belts with buckles I could scavenge for my strawberry dress (there weren't) and then came home and found myself suddenly quite sleepy. Last night I barely slept at all, you see, between being hot and the knot in my back and waking up to cough and so on. I was determined to finish my organza apron, however, so I put off a nap until I'd gathered it and pinned it to the tape I got from Adrienne yesterday. After reading and dozing for an hour or so I pulled up "Glitch" on Netflix and sewed the tape on. So this apron, which I started over a year ago, is finally, FINALLY finished. One more UFO off the list!
