ARGGGGHHHHH!
This cat is fucking pissing me off now! It just crys and crys and moans and moans when it doesn't get attention...! I can't give it attention all the time, and I'm not stupid, I know that all it wants is attention coz it's somewhere new and it can't stimulate itself all the time, but I just can't handle the constant whining! We had a problem after 5days that whenever (and sometimes not also) we went to the loo at night he would meow, cry, etc for attention...at rediculous times, 3:15am, 5:20am...so I called the behaviour hotline st Battersea. The lady I eventually got through to was very helpful and suggested that I make a loud sound with something whenever he does that at night time, so I've been clapping my hands, and yes it has helped. She understands the constant meowing can just be so hard to ignore, but I know I have to otherwise he'll be a cat that expects attention all the time and that's not good for him or the household. If I do go back to work next year (which I fully intend on doing) hes got to get used to being in an empty house for eight hours or so, so lets hope I can train him to use a cat flap.
I think I said it in a previous entry, he's never been outside before but he's contantly looking out the window and I am hoping (as the bettersea lady also said) that when he learns to be outside he'll make his own entertainment, like most cats.
Lets hope I can just grin and bear it for another three weeks...he's driving me insane!!!!
