Haha. Crazy Korea.

A little past noon, and the streets of Uijeongbu were already hot. Luckily I walked along the side of the street where the buildings partially blocked the midday sun. I was out to find a scene to photograph as my new camera is itching for use. With a quick pace, I passed a bus stop where a collection of people stood. A 20-something fellow stared at me, to which I disregarded and strode past. It's a fairly normal reaction to get as a foreigner. Though when I was about to hit the next block, the fellow had jogged after me speaking in Korean. I believed to have heard him ask if I spoke Korean, which unfortunately is very elementary. I looked in puzzlement, when another fellow came up to speak with better but still difficult English. Through fractured sentences and dropped articles, I came to realise the true intent of the 20-something guy. He was an owner of a clothes shop, and was wondering if I would model for his store's website. I said sure, and we headed to his shop. Though it was at that time that four American GIs were passing, and the fellow who had helped translating was screaming out "Very good body line" while we were walking away. It was a line to which he was using before to inform what I presume was how I was handsome. If my cheeks could flush, they surely would have at that moment. Though I was embarrassed, I laughed at the situation and strode after the fellow who caught up with me.

A little ways, we get to his shop and there was another fellow who happened to be his partner and explain to him why I was there. He spoke much better english than the other fellow, but not by much. We chatted for a couple minutes and I learned their names. The one who caught up with me was Jay B. and the one at the shop was Jay D. (Convenient no?) We exchanged numbers, and departed. Jay B. walked out a bit with me, as he was waiting on the bus before catching sight of me. He soon went to his stop, and I continued on my path. It was one of the most single bizarre incidents I've ever been in. Though it's quite funny, and if this does go through I will get paid. And I am always happy to accept money, in both legal and ethical manner of course.
