Dark humor novels?

I have been looking for a few dark humor novels. I am interested in ones dealing with twisted (totally out there/unrealistic is fine with me) and/or morbid plot lines but told in an amusing manner. What can I say? It is the state of mind I'm in right now. ;) What do you recommend?

Anything by Evelyn Waugh will fit that exactly.

Don't know how "dark" Waugh'd appear these days per se, but does perhaps demonstrate nonetheless why the French call it l'humour Anglaise ...

He is dark in the way he treats everything with his scathing wit, and does not pause to sympathize, even with death.

Well, the key word is "anymore." I suspect a lot of "dark" humor doesn't come off nearly so much so anymore (Waugh being someone I haven't read much of, but i have read relatively recently). Not that the books have lost their edge, just that the world has become that much edgier, is all ...
