Dude.. I totally know what you mean. Everytime I listen to any of the 6 or 7 versions of "Amazing Grace" I have I get the same feeling. It's actually what inspired me to write this. I had a feeling if at least one person on my lj friends list would agree with me it'd be you, although really it should be everyone.
And once again.. agree on what you say about the war. The ends will justify the means when all is said is done. It's not a war for "oil" as people want to say.. obviously not because we're obviously not getting oil too easily when it's already topped over 3 dollars and it's only the beginning of summer.
And again.. agreed. Rarely you'll see them report about a car bomb going off or something but usually only if it involves a US casualty. Did people forget what they did to that reporter?(beheading) Or those 3 contractors?(burning alive and spitting on their bodies) Once upon a time if anyone did that to any american citizen there would've been a neverending wall of bombs dropping on them within hours.
And you know where I stand on Bush. Let's face it.. guy isn't perfect. I like him though. And I think all things considered he is doing his job the best it can be done. Can you imagine if we had one of those previous democrat nominees in office?? Nothing against dems so much but.. Al Gore? John Kerry? No thank you. There wouldn't be a tall building left in NY, Boston, Chicago, DC, etc... Okay maybe that's exaggeration but.. he's doing the dirty work that needs to be done and people don't realize that for a non-military minded man, he's doing it very well. Speaking of.. who are you planning on for '08? At this point I'm saying McCain. Former military generals almost always make the best presidents, especially during war time. God help us if Clinton or Obama get it...
I don't hesitate at the chance to support or defend America. There's no way Clinton will get it and I doubt Obama will either. If I had to choose between McCain and Giuliani, I'd choose Giuliani.
Those once upon a time moments seem to be gradually removed from existence. I don't smoke, but it bothers me when some places pass insane laws like you can't smoke a cigarette unless your car window is rolled up. Its insane. There's gases coming out of the back of the car that could kill you in a matter of minutes and they're worried about a little secondhand smoke.
What bothers me about democrats is that they don't come up with a single plan and spend all their time badmouthing republicans.
