Doing My Homework.
I've been researching Pregnancy stuff since I found out.
Ben bought me prenatal vitamins and a pregnancy organizer (thru amazon) that should be a arriving in a few days. That was sweet of him :-)
I need to make sure to exercise plenty, sleep well, and eat right. No more smoking herb, drinking, caffeine, or sushi. No soft cheeses. I will miss those things but it is temporary.
The nurse confirmed that the small amount of drinking and the birth control pills that I took before I knew I was pregnant will not have an effect of the baby this soon but of course not to continue it.
I need to drink more water, eat a banana a day (for the potassium) and eat plenty of fruits, veggies, and protein. carbs too!
I've been trying to schedule my first prenatal doctor's visit but Kaiser is a bunch of D-bags and there is ONE person that calls YOU to schedule and she was supposed to call Monday and never did! Today she was out of the office all day so I'm gonna try tomorrow morning. I really want to get the ball rolling as far as doctor's visits go. Ben really wants to be there for the visits but I don't know if our schedules with match up. Hopefully we can work it out so both of us can be there.
Yesterday, We went to this place called "Rockin Crepes" that is a Metal themed crepe place that has fondue as well. We had some cheese fondue named "The Doors" and a "White Zombie" crepe filled with cream, strawberries, bananas, and chocolate. Next time I am trying the "Iron Maiden" crepe. Also, I had the BEST hot chocolate of my life there! it's a hole in the wall and I love it and want to go back to support it. It was definitely family owned with the owner's son (wearing a maiden shirt) rolling silverware. It was cute.
Ben and I got upset got a second because they put some pepperoni on the plate of things to dip in the fondue. I told them to leave it on there for him to eat and he had wanted no meat so we could share it all. So essential we got upset with each other for trying to please each other :-)
We are such dorks.
I can't believe this is happening. It's real and it's scary but I think we'll both be happy once everything is said and done. There are just moments where it's like "HOLY SHIT!"
It's going to be an interesting next 8 months.
