MMM LJ, It's been some time....
Buenos compleanos les estdos unidos. (Gosh I hope I spelt that right). Sadly, I believe, my laptop has a bit of the flu (virus) which norton is very slow at fixing. Really don't want dad to know, I mean he's a perfect clean computer user and would scoff at me and my daring (stupid) user skills. OK so I visited a ton of websites whcih may have downloaded (on their own) bad stuff not just adaware. And I have this thing (it's an obesession which I'm very secretive about) of reading lots of horseshow stories and finding out how people I used to know some three to six years ago are doing now on the show circuit. I couldn't afford shows, wasn't good at them, but it's interesting to see how others are doing. I don't know, it's pretty pathetic but, hey, I like it.
Best news of all is that I finished my Russia incomplete. I also finished surfing the web for stuff on Indian cows. My paper will be on the treatment of cows in India and if they should be a little stricter on those beasts. Four single spaced pages left. Twelve pages total, the paper was started in May but I had a wee breakdown and took an incomplete. Can't wait to finish my incompletes. There's a bit of competition in the family of who will finish their work first: me or dad. Dad flunked his Access certificiation exam twice so if he passes on his third try, and I'm not done with the India crap, then he wins but if I finish first than I win. He practices for the exam on his laptop while I work on my incompletes at the library. I'm on like caffeine from strong Starbucks coffee and some stimulant so I work quite long hours (7 last time I was there, nonstop), and he won't bother me until I call it quits, which generally isn't until the library is closing. Dumb hours, they close at 5 or 6 usually. Just like school ::sigh::.Don't people know how I need my perfect study area for a LONG time, can't work at home or in my room at school, need a quiet, secluded library where no one will see me and no distractions! C'est la vie.
Barbecue with mom's friends today and neighbors who I really don't care to really talk to (their daughter and I had a falling out in 1st grade because she changed the seat that we normally sat on the bus and I took it to mean she wanted to separate). She's very shy and is into art, I'm into science/history and we had different tracks in high school. Not really my type anymore, but she's not coming, it's ok. Really strange how we won't talk to each other anymore. So weird, whatever. Another barbecue guest will be my mom's friends' daughter who served in Afghanistan and she flies helicopters in the navy, really cool.
Had a blast talking to my roomie last night, we were on the phone forever. I love seeing my name in her LJ, makes me feel so special :). Then again, it doesn't take much to please me.
Well, perhaps I should grab a wee bite to eat.
So long, fair viewer,
Hippo
