I sent an email to Mary Ellen, my trauma therapist back home. Speaks for itself.
Did you ever manage to find anyone in the Stockbridge area who does EMDR? I'm feeling pretty desperate and on the edge right now, and I need something. Lately Dr. Charles is gone at least as often as she's here, and I changed psychopharmacologists about a month ago. And then I found out yesterday that my nursing care coordinator, Janet, who I've been working with for 11 months, is being switched to a different team so she can't work with me anymore. I hate feeling so dependent and needy, but I am. I need something steady to hang onto, hopefully something that would help get me out of the stuck place I'm in.
Honestly what I want right now is to come home and work with you because you get me, but that's not a good idea, I know, not right now.
I just feel veryvery needy right now, and The Powers That Be are pulling my main support, Janet, away from me, at a time when Dr. Charles, my other main support, is only sporadically available. Dr. Charles told me a little while back that what I need to do is hang onto the people who care about me, but what do I do when they're not available and I'm still so intensely needy? I feel like it's all falling apart and the things I was trying to hold onto are slipping through my fingers. Everything I've been working at is crumbling. And I'm being incredibly cliche and melodramatic. I'm just scared of myself and what's going to happen. I wish I were home because here everyone keeps leaving.
I'm sorry.
