Traveling from our headquarters to the airfield on this complex makes you realize--even at night--how not only huge this one complex is, but how many people work here, committed to their individual duties in the grander scheme of things; the sheer complexity of integrated support and services across dozen of square miles; the individual and collective politics of each small group of thousands, and just how insignificant one person's agenda is, when compared to a dozen square miles of coordinated effort, in one country, on one continent, on one planet, in one solar system, in one galaxy, of the fucking universe.
