Examinations
It's the season for the mundane life studying, understanding and memorising all that you will forget immediately when you finish that particular paper. But I realise this season tests one's character as well, how one is able to persevere against the odds, how one is able to look beyond this season and look at the bigger picture of life, how one builds relationships and how one tears them down because of stress and the need to study, study and study.
I miss home. I think I need to stop pretending that I don't. Last night, I prayed my usual prayer, and suddenly the fear of not being able to envision the faces of my loved one crippled me. I had a nightmare before even sleeping.
I want to go home.
I stare at my reflection in the mirror:
"Why am I doing this to myself?"
Losing my mind on a tiny error,
I nearly left the real me on the shelf.
