(no subject)
i've been trying to find this really beautiful song called "the land of the midnight sun" by alice babs, i heard it on this jazz image show on 89.3 the current...no luck though. maybe i'll try find a cd with it on it...yeah. just played some intense late-night games of literati, won every one! ha, WOO HOO huh? well it felt satisfying anyway. the job at dairy queen's a pretty laid-back one, it does get busy a lot but i like that, working the window and making treats isn't so bad. only problem is it kind of feels like a high school atmosphere in there, working with only younger people and all, but it's money and that's all that matters right now. i did make a new friend there too my third day saturday, her name's rya, 19 like me, and she's from germany, she doesn't have a german accent though. she said we should go bowling together some time, that would be cool! she seems really cool, so that made work seem better also. she kind of has glasses like mine only they're black, and she also likes pink floyd. :)) i guess i don't work again til thursday, but that's alright cuz the next three days i need to be focusing on getting all my crap together for the big move day on wednesday anyway...hmm. this song is really pretty, "the nurse who loved me" by a perfect circle. yes. i need to schedule a date for this anew spa treatment package i bought with like a 90% discount when i was working at proactiv, it was this special deal for southdale employees...so me and haley can go do that, i think i'm gonna do the hair treatment package, i found this really cool style in this great clips book (i kinda snagged the pic, he he...) so i might give that a try. maybe even a coloring, i'm pretty sure that's an option too...though i've kind of colored my hair out. speaking of proactiv, the corporate office called me back tonight and said my last check was already issued to me, that my manager probably said that to get me to return the key and the blouse, and she said they didn't even really want the blouse back anyway...that was a little disappointing...thought a hefty check was coming my way...oh well. i'm reading "chronicles" by bob dylan right now, volume one, it's really interesting. i also watched the movie clerks recently, that was a funny one, i highly recommend it! well, lots more i could reflect on but i think i'm gonna close, getting pretty tired and it's getting pretty late. until next time...peace.
