Have you actually been to visit any rental properties yet Mark?
There are plenty in Manchester. Somewhere in the country that is local and easy to move to! ;-)

Some time ago now I suggested "Right Move" and told you there were several house-shares available in Chorlton. Did you view them? They aren't listed any more, but they have been replaced by other similar ones.

I have just posted some links on your facebook, to properties that are available locally NOW, and all for the sort of rent you told me you could afford. One of them (the first I posted) includes all bills and internet in the price!

There are places to rent, within your budget. And, if you are moving locally, there are people who will help you move your stuff.

All you have to do is go see somewhere and put your name down for it. Why not take the first property I put on your FB timeline, just for now, and then re-group once you are there to think about what you want to do long term?

Way beyond my budget I'm afraid ,even with my increased pension. Not sure how you got the impression I was rich.

Maximum I could allow is £200 , £250 at a pinch with some bills.

No need for sarcasm Mark. I didn't say you were rich.

But last time we talked you said you could afford £300 if needed. And the first place on my list was less than that including bills.

I very much doubt you will get a room in a house for less than £50 a week plus bills. And if your pension won't cover that then benefits will.

Where is the harm in going to see the first place I linked to? or the others. You can always haggle over price.

Sorry , diidn't mean to come across as sarcastic .
You must have misunderstood me when we met, £300 *was* my remaining pension - some commitments,
It's gone up now I'm 55, I know HB will help but the less I'm dependent the better

I've been to a few locally within the range, nothing yet to match.

Spent most of time sorting flat out
keep finding another cupboards worth to tackle

When do you have to hand the keys back? Did you talk to Cheryl and Kevin about their spare room?

At this point, I wouldn't worry about being dependent on HB hun. Better dependent than homeless. I would go see that first place, which when you consider it includes all the bills and internet for that price, has to be a pretty good bet.

*hugs*
