There are some movies that are so hopelessly over-the-top with insanely hackneyed phrases that you can't help but like it because they seemed to have studiously observed classic lines in every action movie ever and then sprinkled them liberally throughout their movie. They tried so hard.
X-Men Origins is such a movie.
Could the director have asked himself, perhaps, "are three scenes of Hugh Jackman screaming "No!" at the heavens too many?" His answer was a powerful "hardly!"
Critics, however, might disagree.
I, however, thought it was fucking awesome.
