a message to my friends:
If you are my friend and you are having problems, are upset, unhappy in any way, doing something that is dangerous to yourself or others, doing something dumb, doing something illegal, around toxic people or anything like these things....and I know about it...then I will worry about you. It means and proves that I care about you. I will do all that I can to help you and to make the situation better.
BUT
you must be a good friend back or you will lose the privilege. Return phone calls, or answer the phone in the first place....especially if I am already worrying about you. Inform me of important developments. Don't drop off the face of the earth. Basically: your words and actions affect others, be aware of this.
I care so much, and am willing to go so far to help....please don't make me regret it.
