Kat came with me to stay with my folks at one of my dad's congregants apartments in Long Boat Key. One of the benefits of having a pastor as a dad, is that he my not make much money, but he knows a lot of people who do that think they should be nice to him. To give you a brief description of this place:
three bedrooms (all with balconies)
three bathrooms (all bigger than the ones in the dorms)
a private pool on the main balcony (looking out over the gulf of mexico)
To really make it simple, my house could fit inside this apartment one an half times.

So, yeah, Kat and I got to learn how the other half lives for a few days. It also gave Kat and my parents a chance to get to know each other, which is great because my folks love her (not that there was ever any doubt they would).

A few other note worthy highlights from the long weekend:
Discovering how beautiful Kat's new red hair looks when lit by the sunset.
Catching fish in my mouth and accidentally swallowing some (details upon request).
My mom's cooking.
Swimming in the ocean with a storm coming.
Watching the two very different types of crazy that are my Dad and Katrina interact.
Sliding down the jetty on my but and sitting there getting pounded by waves while Kat clang to me for dear life.
Some of the most romantic and, well, passionate night's nights of my life.

Let's see, politically, the Democrats did such a crappy job on their convention, that I don't even need to tear it a part. You didn't bother to see it. Good for you.

Quote(s) of the Day:
"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."
--Al Gore
"I'm not going to have some reporters pawing through our papers. We are the president."
--Hillary Clinton commenting on the release of subpoenaed documents.
"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."
--Bill Clinton

And ya'll thought GW was the only stupid monkey in politics.
