I actually thought they were filming in the quarry again; I didn't realise it was the same beach. Huh. Perhaps they're using a different part, or as a different location? They do tend to re-use a lot of locations, don't they?
And as for River Song... that irritates me, but then I just sit back and remember that she died and had to live out eternity in a computer. It does take a bit of the sting out.
I feel no personal obligation to take anything not written or approved by RTD as canon, and yes, it is in The Sun.
Indeed! I'm looking at it as an entirely new show (this Doctor couldn't possibly be my Doctor, after all! Which is what I said after Ecclescakes left, too.) with a different Doctor and brand new people. Hell, even the TARDIS is new.
I'll quite happily follow my brain with its own crack theory: somehow the entire universes got swapped, leaving Rose (+ her family) in the original universe with the "real" Doctor, and this here is the adventures of Doctor 2.0, who can indeed regenerate.
Also, the companion is lovely. I am totally envious of her hair.

And of course, that was clearly the most important thing in that comment that needed to be responded to first.

Hair is totally important. Especially for those of us who only have really good hair days once every six years. (I don't know about you, but I'm doomed to fluffy semi straight hair that is that horrible mousey-blonde that isn't actually blonde so I have to dye it every six weeks to just put some colour into it.)
Whoops. *Thinks too much about hair* Double whoops because I turned a comment that was meant to be entirely about Doctor Who into one that was (is?) entirely about hair. *is shallow*
I feel I must add that I do like other shows Stephen Moffat has done. Have you ever seen Coupling? One of my favourite comedies. And Jekyll was not bad. But yeah, Moffat, don't you dare touch my Ten or Rose or Donna and stuff them up! *glowers*
